Our Backyard
The review and implementation of policies and procedures to comply with ISO 14001:2004 involved embracing our appetite to lead the industry in environmental management systems. We completed a review of all aspects of our activities then developed or fortified policy, procedure and practice to minimize and continually reduce our environmental footprint.
What we have done in our own backyard:
Developed corporate policy to reflect and confirm our unwavering commitment to environmental care.
Completed a full check to ensure legislative compliance
Developed specific Environmental objectives
Completed a full environmental review considering all applicable environmental aspects, their significance and opportunities for elimination or minimization.
Developed specific programs and KPIs targeting key aspects
Re-engineered inputs, processes and outputs to ensure the minimization of use, minimization and elimination of waste, reduction and elimination of contaminants and ensuring responsible disposal.
Selected new and removed some existing suppliers on the basis of composition and production methodologies of their products.
Shaped our learning and development programs to reflect the prominence of environmental care in our activities.
Developed ongoing audit and continual evolution processes to measure and report progress
What we have done with our services:
WE GREEN CLEAN
Developed our sales and contract startup processes to ensure the assessment of environmental care and the minimization or elimination of negative impacts.
Rationalised all chemicals used and approved standard products on the basis of their third party Green certification.
Developed strict policy and procedure requirements for the disposal of liquid cleaning waste.
Included Environmental aspects as a review and check point on:
- Site reveiw committees
- Site QA inspections
- Formal operations management meetings
Developed our induction and ongoing training programs to reflect the prominence of environmental care and subsequent staff requirements.
We encourage and will do anything possible in our capacity, as part of our service provision, to reduce the environmental footprint of what we do. This includes where desired providing assistance to clients in the implementation of green initiatives in their premises ('backyard').
